Hosted by China Society for Human Rights Studies, sponsored by Institute for Human Rights research of Southwest University of Political Science and Lawand School of Politics and Public Administration of XinJiang University, the International Seminar on “Anti-terrorism, De-radicalization and Human Rights Protection” was held from September 4 to 6, in Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. More than 60 experts and scholars from 18 countries and international organizations, including France, Sri Lanka, India, Turkey, Afghanistan and China, conducted discussions and exchanges on the seminar.
Professor Lijie delivered a speech on the Concept and Measures of Anti-terrorism and De-radicalization in Southeast Asia, during which he analyzed the common arrangements of various countries in anti-terrorism, de-radicalization and human rights protection, and communicated with relevant experts on policies and situations in Xinjiang.
