On July 21-26, 2019, invited by the School of Politics and International Relations, Lanzhou University, Shi Ze, researcher from the China Institute of International Studies came to our School for academic exchange and delivered a series of lectures on the theme of Russian foreign policy. Teachers' representatives from our School and graduate students as well as teachers from Party School of CPC Gansu Provincial Committee attended lectures.

The first topic was the Adjustment and Influence of Russia's Policy towards Central Asia. According to Shi Ze, Russia's Central Asia policy is characterized by stages, and its attitude towards this region has been changed from indifference to great attention. Shi Ze mainly explained the changes of the situation in Central Asia, the adjustment of Russia's Central Asian policy, the assessment of Russia's policy change, and the prospect and impact of Russia's policy adjustment.

The second topic was the Russia's Policy towards Europe, and Shi Ze mainly analyzed Russia's energy diplomacy from the perspective of energy diplomacy and illustrated the situation of Russia's energy diplomacy in detail, and forecasted the energy security situation of China under the Sino-US trade war. Shi Ze believed that Russia's energy diplomacy to Europe has a very good development prospect, which has important implications for the development of China's energy diplomacy.

The third topic was China-Russia Relations under the New Situation， and Shi Ze elaborated the background and connotation of China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination in the new era in detail. Taking China-Russia cooperation after the cold war as an example, the development prospect of China-Russia relations was evaluated.

Finally, Shi Ze analyzed and assessed the development prospects of China-Russia relations by taking China-Russia cooperation since the Cold War as an example.

This lecture series presented by Shi Ze was in an orderly and logical manner, and they provided a valuable academic exchange opportunity for teachers and students of our School.
