"Political thought expresses both the self-understanding of political society and people's search for an ideal order." Serious moments of crisis, sudden historical events and drastic social changes are often more likely to provoke profound and serious political thinking. Political scholars try to deeply understand the social and ideological roots of crises, reveal their potential political consequences, and then explore possible solutions for change and response. As the world is in the midst of the "unseen changes in a century", we especially need to understand and study the thinking of different thinkers on crisis and change, so as to help us better understand the current political situation and gain useful insights on political choices and actions. In view of this, the School of Politics and Public Administration of Soochow University held a seminar on "Crisis and Change in the Context of the 'Unseen Changes in a Century': Understanding and Insights from the Study of the History of Political Thought" on October 23-24, 2021.

Dr. Luo Yixuan presented his paper "Denial of God's Omnipotent Creator Image and the Reconstruction of the Legal System - On Montesquieu's Critique of Christian Theological Legal Theory" and made an online presentation at the Tencent Conference.
