On October 24, 2021, the 4th Regional Security and Counterterrorism Symposium, organized by Guangxi University for Nationalities, was held in Nanning, Guangxi, in an online and offline format.

Dr. Jin Xiaozhe attended the online conference and made a presentation. The conference was a one-day event with more than 10 experts and scholars from Guangxi University for Nationalities, Peking University, Huaqiao University, Northwestern University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Lanzhou University, as well as universities and think tanks from many countries such as Malaysia, UAE and Indonesia.

The seminar explored international hot topics such as regional security, counter-terrorism, and de-radicalization efforts. Dr. Jin Xiaozhe participated in the whole seminar and gave a speech titled "The Development of Terrorism in Southeast Asia in the Context of the New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic".
