From August 24 to 31, 2020, advanced seminar for Chongqing People's Congress was successfully held in our university. The seminar was organized by the Political Development Research Center and the School of Politics and International Relations. A total of 90 students from 7 districts and counties including Yuzhong District, Nan'an District and Shizhu County of Chongqing Municipality participated in the seminar. Yao Zhihai, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Politics and International Relations of Lanzhou University, and Wang Jinguo, Dean of the school, and some leaders attended the opening ceremony.

After a week of intensive study, the questionnaire survey showed that the students were generally very satisfied with the arrangements of the seminar and hoped that the School of Politics and International Relations could hold more seminars in the future. Many students reported that through this period of study, it not only further strengthened the political and practical experience of the working cadres of the Chongqing People's Congress, but also helped to promote the grassroots cadres to perform their duties, exercise their power and carry out their work in strict accordance with stipulations.
