Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the Decision on the Award of the Ninth Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) in Higher Education Institutions (Education and Social Sciences (2024) No. 4), and the book Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Practice and Theory written by Professor Zeng Xianghong of our Institute won the third prize of the "Work Paper Award". This is also the second prize for Professor Zeng Xianghong after she won the second prize of the 8th Higher Education Scientific Research Excellence Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) of the Ministry of Education in 2020. Established in 1995, the Outstanding Achievement Award for Scientific Research in Universities (Humanities and Social Sciences) is a major measure taken by the Ministry of Education to commend and reward outstanding achievements made by philosophy and social science workers in universities, showcase major theoretical and practical achievements of social science circles in universities in serving the development of the Party and the country, and promote the construction of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics in universities. The University Scientific Research Excellence Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) is selected every three years, and is considered to be the most credible and influential important award in the field of humanities and social sciences in China, and is also the highest award in the field of humanities and social sciences in China. It is reported that the participants of the ninth Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award of universities are the academic achievements in the field of humanities and social sciences completed between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2021. According to the Decision, Lanzhou University won six awards for its achievements. Among them, 1 second prize of "Writing Paper Award" (School of Journalism and Communication), 2 third prizes of "Writing Paper Award" (School of History and Culture, School of Politics and International Relations, 1 third prize of "Consulting Service Report Award" (School of Management), 2 "Youth Achievement Award" (School of History and Culture, School of Management, 1).
