Author:      From:      Hits:

During the visit, China and Kazakhstan signed dozens of bilateral cooperation documents and issued the Joint Statement between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The frequent and high-level diplomatic and exchange of visits between the heads of state of China and Kazakhstan will lead to the continued development of China-Kazakhstan relations at a high level, deepen and cement China-Kazakhstan cooperation, and further contribute to peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region. He announced that China supports Kazakhstan's accession to the BRICS cooperation mechanism. Zhang Yifeng, an associate researcher at the Belt and Road and Global Governance Institute of Fudan University, pointed out that since Tokayev came to power, Kazakhstan has paid more attention to independence and strategic vision in diplomacy, and has been more active in participating in regional and international affairs. This coincides with China's foreign policy and philosophy. Kazakhstan, as an important country in the Asia-Pacific region, is playing a more constructive role in the international arena. China always respects and supports this, as it not only serves the strategic interests of China and other neighboring countries, but also contributes to the stable development of the Asia-Pacific region. Wei Jinshen, deputy director of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Research Center at Lanzhou University, said that China is a responsible major country in the international community, and Kazakhstan is a "middle power" and regional power in international politics. In the current complex world situation and accelerating changes in the world, the development of bilateral relations between China and Kazakhstan is conducive to the transformation of world peace, regional stability and global governance, promote the multi-polar and democratic development of international relations, bring certainty and stability to an uncertain world, and inject new impetus into the global economy and regional development. In 2023, the trade volume between China and Kazakhstan exceeded 41 billion U.S. dollars for the first time. It is widely believed that economic and trade cooperation is the focus of this visit. The opening of the China-Europe Trans-Caspian direct express will disperse the geopolitical risks that China-Europe Express may encounter in the current volatile international situation, help promote the formation of a network of cross-border transport in Eurasia and build a three-dimensional interconnection network in Eurasia. Wei Jinshen believes that the trade structure of China and Kazakhstan has huge complementary advantages, which is an important prerequisite for the two countries to become closer in trade. As the two countries take practical measures to expand trade and promote trade facilitation, the trade cooperation between China and Kazakhstan has broad prospects. In the future, the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation in the fields of digital economy, renewable energy, key minerals and high and new technology, which will fundamentally lay the foundation for further strengthening bilateral and even multilateral relations.
