Our faculty received two national Social Science Fund projects. The two approved projects are: the planning project applied by Associate Professor Zhou Changxian - "Research on the operation and Optimization of the State-owned Assets Supervision Mechanism of the National People's Congress", and the youth project applied by Dr. Jin Xiaozhe - "Research on the impact, influence and response of negative Xinjiang-related discourse in the United States and the West on the cultural development of Xinjiang".
The main research contents of the project "Research on the Operation and Optimization of the State-owned Assets Supervision Mechanism of the NPC" chaired by Associate Professor Zhou Changxian are as follows:
The research background of Dr. Jin Xiaozhe's project "The Impact, influence and Response of Negative Xinjiang-related Discourse in the United States and the West on the cultural improvement of Xinjiang" is that the construction and dissemination of negative Xinjiang-related discourse in the United States and the West has become a negative international environment for promoting the strategy of Xinjiang governance in the new era, especially the work of cultural improvement of Xinjiang. The work of cultural moistening Xinjiang is a systematic project, which not only needs the guarantee of international and domestic discourse environment, but also needs to consolidate the national cultural identity of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. This project aims to expose the strategic conspiracy of the United States and the West to control China with Xinjiang, especially the essence of its negative discourse related to Xinjiang, and is committed to strengthening the construction of positive discourse on Xinjiang governance, so as to strengthen the cognition and internalization of Xinjiang's Xinjiang governance strategy in the new era by the people of all ethnic groups, and make it an important connotation of the cultural work of Xinjiang.
Since 2023, our institute has continued to make important breakthroughs in applying for National Science Foundation projects. As of September 2023, the first major project of the National Social Science Fund chaired by Professor Yang Shu was approved in April 2023, and then teacher Ge Wei won a project of the National Natural Science Fund in August 2023. Together with the two national Social science funds approved this time, a total of 4 National Science Fund projects were approved in our college. Project funding of more than 1.2 million. This is the continuation of the two major projects of the National Social Science Fund and four youth projects last year, and the institute has once again made significant progress in the establishment of National Science Fund projects, which reflects the efforts and achievements of the faculty of our Institute in self-improvement and unique scientific research.
