In order to enable students to better understand internship-related contents and seek internship opportunities, our school held a 2022 internship experience sharing session online at 15:00 on 21 May. The sharing session invited Mr. Xing Qianli, a 2016 International Politics undergraduate, to share his experience with the students, and the session was hosted by Ms. Wang Wanjun, the Teaching Secretary.

Xing Qianli, currently working as a full-time counsellor at Lanzhou University School of Dentistry, shared his internship experience with the students. He briefly introduced his personal internship and employment orientation from three aspects. Firstly, the choice of internship position. Starting from his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, Mr Xing talked about his approach to choosing an internship under his career planning and self-analysis, and then introduced the three main dimensions of choosing an internship. Following this, Xing Qianli provided his thoughts on how to find internship opportunities. He not only introduced the on-campus resources, but also explained the details of social resources and outreach resources to enrich the pathways to employment and internship. Afterwards, he gave a detailed account of his internship experiences from his previous internships, while saying that they had helped him a lot in his later development. Finally, Xing Qianli encouraged everyone to give their best to their internships and to grasp every internship opportunity, and wished the students of the School of Politics and International Relations the best of luck in finding a clear career plan during their university years.

The internship experience sharing session aims to help our students understand the current employment and internship information, enrich the internship information channels and improve their internship and job-seeking ability. This will help the students of the School of Politics and International Relations to broaden their horizons, clearly position themselves for future internships, reasonably adjust the direction of internships and enhance their confidence in future internships and employment.
