In the afternoon of April 23, our school held an online experience sharing session on 2022 postgraduate recommendation. The sharing session was conducted by our teaching secretary Ms. Wang Wanjun and two students who successfully recommended for the postgraduate study, Hu Longbiao and Du Qin'ao, to share their experience.

Ms. Wang Wanjun firstly introduced the implementation rules of the 2022 recommended exemption for graduate students, including the basic principles of the exemption work, organizational leadership, application qualifications, and assessment contents. She said that the policy of exemption will change every year, but the requirements for grades and comprehensive tests are basically the same. In addition to maintaining a positive and healthy mindset and excellent grades, students who want to be admitted to graduate school should also actively participate in various competitions. This is not only an exercise for their overall quality, but also a proof of their ability. At the same time, the teacher also emphasized the importance of studying English, and cet-4 and cet-6 scores are also important indicators to be considered for graduate school.

Hu Longbiao shared his experience from three aspects: how to recommend to Lanzhou University, the introduction of Peiyou Program, and the advantages and disadvantages of internal recommendation. He focused on the importance of both actively contacting teachers at target institutions before the recommendation results are released, and being prepared to continue exams if the recommendation fails. He also gave his advice to students in terms of signing up for the internal recommendation program and attending summer camps.Du Qin'ao gave her own advice on choosing a school and whether to choose an interdisciplinary program: be prepared in advance to determine whether the program you want to study can reach the required level during the review phase. In addition, she introduced her choices and experiences in each period from three parts: summer camp, pre-recommendation and after the opening of the recommendation system. She emphasized how to maximize the success rate of your own recommendation for graduate school. It is important to focus on the improvement of one's own ability and also to choose the most suitable strategy for oneself according to the actual situation. After the presentation, Du Qin'ao answered some questions from the students to help them have a deeper understanding of the process and requirements of postgraduate recommendation.

The postgraduate recommendation sharing session provided students with a lot of useful reference information on their future decisions and preparations. It not only provided useful ideas and perspectives for those who wish to become graduate students, but also gave the students a preliminary understanding of the process and considerations related of recommendation.
