On October 17^th, the seminar on Security and Development of Central Asia in the New Era sponsored by the Institute of Area Studies of Peking University was heldat the Yingjie Exchange Centerof Peking University. Famous experts from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Renmin University of China, China Institute of Contemporary International Relations, Lanzhou University and Xinjiang University attended the seminar. Professor Yangshu was invited to attend the meeting and made a speech entitled the Basic Features and Influence of Geopolitics in Central Asian Countries.
