On May 19th, the National Construction and Frontier Development Conference was held at Shanghai Jiaotong University. The conference centered on "National Construction and Frontier Development", focusing on the concepts of race，nationality and ethnic group, nationalism, imperialism and national identity, and involving related researches of many countries in Europe, America, Southeast Asia and Latin America, the three waves of democratization throughout the history of the East and the West，and the return of China's national policy research issues.

Professor Li Jie of our school was invited to attend the conference and shared his research on decentralization and separation governance with Aceh as an example.
