Why is the United States at a Dead end in Afghanistan

Recently, the picture of the U.S. military shrinking at Kabul airport and seeking the assistance of the Taliban to evacuate American citizens spread all over the world. It not only shows the embarrassment and end of the road of the United States, but also shows once again that its armed occupation has never been trusted by the Afghan people, and the externally imposed and transplanted democracy will not last. The United States, which pursues the "America First" policy, has made its allies more aware that the United States is “untrustworthy”.

The 20-year war in Afghanistan and the “democratic experiment” of the United States have neither achieved its established strategic objectives nor brought peace and stability to Afghanistan. The United States withdrew its troops in a hurry, and the Taliban “seized power in a flash”, leaving a riddled mess, showing the complete failure of the United States' “indiscriminate” democratic output. The policy of military occupation blindly pursued by the United States in Afghanistan and the strategy of “suppressing” the Taliban through the abuse of force are disregard for basic human rights and are doomed to lack of trust and support from the people in Afghanistan.

In order to get out of the war quagmire in Afghanistan as soon as possible, the U.S. military hurriedly withdrew from Afghanistan, and abandoned the Afghan government it had long propped up, and along with it, its allies. Western public opinion has questioned the status and role of the United States as the “leader of the alliance”, pointing out that the United State is no longer reliable, which further damaged the international reputation of the United States.
