The "Duyan" workshop of the Institution for Central Asia Studies was established in June 2018. It has concrete activity content and mature organization mode.

Activity Content: members will have the opportunity to read different types of literature. The reading materials are mainly composed of three parts: the first is the Chinese papers and English papers published in journals such as World Economy and Politics; the second is the unpublished first draft papers of the members, and the third is the academic monograph. Through reading these documents, the members can understand the academic frontier, enhance the ability of literature appreciation, and improve the language expression.

Organization Mode: the "Duyan" Workshop adheres to the principles of "pluralistic subject", "open mind" and "equal opportunity". There are not only students majoring in international politics and international relations, but also students from other majors; there are not only undergraduate students, but also master students and doctoral students. Moreover , we can not only receive guidance from regular professional teachers, but also mobile academic celebrities. In discussion, we are inclusive and tolerant of different opinions. Lastly, each member of the workshop has the opportunity to become the host, preside over the topic and exercise their ability.
