On May 25^th, 2020, our school held the oral defense of thesis for master's degree of the year 2020. A total of 11 postgraduate candidates participated in the defense, among which 5 were overseas students. We invited Professor Wang Zongli,Vice Chairman of the Institute of Political Sciences,CASS,Dean of School of Marxism Studies of the Northwest Normal University to be the chairman of the Thesis Defense Committee.Dean Wang Jinguo, Deputy Dean Chen Xiaoding, Professor Zhu Yongbiao, Professor Zhang Hongli, Professor LiJie, and Professor Jiao Yiqiang were on the committee, and Dr.Sang Pu served as the defense secretary.

The 11 postgraduate candidates chose a wide range of topics for their graduation thesis, focusing on frontier topics such as regional governance in the arctic, cyber terrorism, China-India relations and the situation on the Korean peninsula. During the defense, The Thesis Defense Committee gave them very useful suggestions and they can revise papers carefully before submission.
